Short Bio:
Kathryn is a Senior Clinician in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences and Public Health, School of Veterinary Science, University of Glasgow, Scotland.
After graduation in 1997 from the University of Glasgow, Kathryn worked in mixed practice in England and Scotland for two years before returning to Glasgow to undertake a junior clinical training post in farm animal clinical studies.
She obtained the RCVS Certificate in Cattle Health and Production in 2001. She undertook a PhD at the University of Liverpool entitled “Studies of the composition of milk produced on organic and conventional dairy farms in the UK”, graduating in 2005. Since 2005 she has been employed at the University of Glasgow in the farm animal department where she has responsibilities for clinical service, teaching and research. Kathryn obtained the ECBHM Diploma in 2009.
She has varied interests including organic production systems, control programmes for BVDV and Johne’s disease, bovine mastitis and bovine and ovine gastrointestinal parasite control.
